You can only be as fearless as you allow yourself to be fearful.
, my guest on this week's Fearless Forward podcast, understands this well.As human beings finding our way, we can become overwhelmed and anxious about our place in the world, the impact we have, and the resources we need. We feel stuck, disconnected from ourselves and others, and unable to take meaningful action.
At the root of these feelings is fear: of failing; of inadequacy; of rejection; of death; and, ultimately, of not being enough.
Whatever form our fear takes, if we don’t see what’s happening and understand our fear for what it is, it will stand in the way of us being the leader, parent, partner, friend we can be.
In her 10+ years in the not-for-profit sector and international development, Agnes experienced the heavy personal toll of grappling with serious global challenges. It was only when she faced her fears that she felt alive and capable enough to find a way through.
Because when we acknowledge our fear, we’re a step closer to cultivating the courage to act.
Her own journey of self-discovery and growth over the past nine years led Agnes to found “The Good Jungle” - where she provides training, coaching and therapeutic support for change-makers and helping professionals.
In our conversation she shares helpful insights into:
The roots of our present-day anxieties – about money, time, and our place in the world.
How to address feelings of scarcity, stress, and paralysis in the face of global challenges.
How to navigate overwhelming emotions through reconnecting with nature, creativity, and community.
I hope you find something here for you.
With love from the mountain,
